The THINK GREEN 3 is a 2-day conference that aims to encourage greater understanding of the challenges faced by the rapidly growing construction industry, in order to direct investments into efficient, cost effective and sustainable projects that will reduce the use of non-renewable resources and minimizes environmental impact during the entire lifecycle of the project. The Conference will feature presentations and panel discussions by expert speakers with plenty of case studies, interactive dialogue and networking opportunities.

The Conference is aimed at senior decision makers from across the region in the following categories: architects, designers, consultants, specifies, planners, developers, contractors, local authorities, real estate professionals, environmentalists, quantity surveyors, manufactures and suppliers.

 World-class projects are being developed across the region for tourism, business, residential and commercial uses, in addition to mixed-use properties, smart and high rise buildings that are changing the landscape of many Arab cities.

To encourage the use of efficient energy & water management systems and building materials that minimise the use of non-renewable resources.

To identify practical and achievable sustainable design and construction practices and techniques.

To promote the adoption of green concepts in real estate projects .

To develop an action plan for implementation of green and sustainable buildings, construction practices, technologies and supportive legislation.

Summary of Think Green 3: Think Green 3 was held on 18 and 19 May 2010 at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Amman under the patronage of H.R.H. Princess Sumaya bint al Hassan, President of the Royal Scientific Society. The Conference brought together key stakeholders in Jordan and over 30 international, regional and local speakers from around the world. The Conference was attended by 120 delegates representing a wide spectrum of public and private organisations in Jordan including, the government, municipalities, architects and engineers, developers, building material manufacturers and suppliers, academia and research and others.
